Every tile left on the board costs a point, as in the 1995 original, so a game starts at minus the number of tiles (−171 on the usual board) and climbs as you clear them.

A group of n tiles adds n² − 3n + 4: 2 for a pair, 8 for four, 74 for ten. Clearing every tile of a kind earns a bonus that doubles each time: 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1,600. The fifth kind is the empty board, so a cleared board earns 3,100 in bonuses.

Choose one kind to keep, leave it alone while you clear the others around it, and take it last once it has come together. Grabbing the biggest group every time rarely clears the board.

As often as you like, for 10 points each. Your high scores show how many undos each one took. A potion can't be undone, and neither can anything before it.

You get three per game. Each costs 100 points and turns one tile into a kind chosen at random, which can be the kind it already was. With luck, it rescues a lone tile.

Turn them on in Options. When you stop to think, GAME shows a group to tap and which kind to keep for last. A game where a hint was shown goes on its own high-score table on your device, and not to Game Center.

On your device: the top 20 for each board size, each with its starting layout so you can replay it. On Apple devices signed in to Game Center, games finished without hints also go to its leaderboards. Options can reset your high scores.

GAME starts on the table. The window button on the table's home plank opens the flat window, and the window's "Play on the table" button goes back. GAME remembers which you used last.

They're the characters from your last game: the tulips, chicks, frogs, oranges and the kennel you cleared come to live on the grass. The dog likes to chase the chicks.
